As of lately!

Well today I flew back to Idaho while Tyler goes to San Antonio for his K-9 training for three months. Throughout Tyler's short military career we have had quite a few "see you laters" and most of them a lot longer than just three months. For some reason this one was a lot harder for me! I think it's because for 6 months it's been just Tyler and I all alone and together all the time! We got so use to that and being on our own in our own home! But I'm so thankful for awesome family and friends that are always there for me and will make this summer lots of fun so it will go by fast so I can be reunited with my husband again!

Alright I figured I'd upload some random picture of the last couple of months!
Enjoy! :)
This is a palace that we went to see about an hour away!

Snowboarding in the Alps!

This weekend we went snowboarding in the Switzerland and Austrian Alps! It was so much fun! Tyler and I were both a little worried because neither of us hadn't been snowboarding in two years, but luckily we both caught right back on! We were a little sore but definitely not as bad as we were expecting, thank goodness! We both had a couple good wipe outs which made for some good laughs! It was a great weekend the weather was perfect and the mountains were absolutely gorgeous!

All 10 of us that went!

Just getting started down the slope, so much fun!

Before we headed to the slopes!

Heidelberg Castle

This week on Tyler's day off since it has warmed up quite a bit here we decided to go see something! We drove up to Heidelberg which is about an hour away and saw the Heidelberg Castle! This castle was very big and beautiful. It definitely brought out the inner princess in me, I LOVE castles.

This is the world's second largest keg.
This picture doesn't do it much justice at all, it is HUGE.

Our yummy breakfast we got to eat in the castle.
Heiße Schokolade und Schokolade Muffin (hot chocolate and chocolate muffin.)

Wallhalben Village!

A little while ago we decided to drive around our village and see what was all in it! It's just a small perfect little village out in the country! While we were exploring we noticed a little we noticed a bakery! We went in a decided to buy something to see if it was any good. We bought a loaf of bread, I got a cream filled pastry and Tyler got a Pretzel. It was all very delicious and I think it's safe to say we wont be buying wonder bread from the commissary anymore, the bread was amazing! We can't wait to go back and try more goodies!

Tyler and his giant pretzel!

Our Story!

We have been asked by lots of family members to start a blog, and now that we finally have internet I can finally start it! :) I thought I would make our first post all about how Ty and I met and our story, so here it goes!
It all starts out at good old Sugar Salem High School! I was a super shy little freshman and Tyler was a super attractive out going junior. I had seen Tyler a couple times in the hall way and thought that he was really cute but didn't really know who he was, that was until one of my friends wanted me to text him and find out if he liked her. So I texted him and somehow after asking him, we kind of just kept talking and thats how it all started! We talked everyday since then, and my friend eventually forgave me for accidentally stealing her man! ;) Me being only a 15 year old freshman my mom wasn't exactly in love with the whole idea of this 17 year old boy that she had never heard of chasing her little girl! To her dismay we hung out as much as we could after school, at basketball games, and on weekends with our friends. Haha she even chased him out of the driveway one time! But after several months she decided to get to know him a little better since I wasn't going to get rid of him anytime soon and she figured out that he was actually a pretty nice kid! We talked everyday and hung out almost as much all through Tyler's junior and senior year and my freshman and sophomore year. The summer after Tyler graduated he went to Virginia and sold alarms for APEX and we kept in touch. After he got home and worked on the farm for his dad for a couple months and then about the second trimester of my junior year Tyler joined the Air Force. He left for Basic Training for 2 months on February 16th, 2010 and that is when our relationship really got strong, it was the longest we had ever been apart. I wrote him a letter everyday and he wrote me as much as they would let him! I got the first phone call from him in the middle of church and I ran to the hallway it was only a 27 second phone call but it was so good to hear from him and know he was doing ok! Tyler's amazing mother invited me to go with her, his sister Valerie, and his grandma to his basic training graduation at the end of April. I was so excited, it was such an awesome experience and it was so good to see him after his training we were all so proud of him! We got to spend a short 3 days together then his family and I went back home and he stayed in Texas for his Tech School. He got to come home for a about three weeks in September of 2010 before he flew out to his first base station in Germany. He left at the end of September to head for Ramstein Air Force Base in Germany where he worked on base as a security forces cop and did many fly away missions. The next time we got to see each other was a long 7 1/2 months later when I was very lucky and got to fly out to Germany and visit him for 2 weeks. It was a wonderful trip! We saw lots of amazing sites and castles, Germany is beautiful! We also took a 2 day tour to Paris, France which is where engaged on April 16th 2010. Our engagement was completely perfect it was like a fairy tale he did such an amazing job! We were going for a boat ride along the Seine River that started right under the Eiffel Tower. It was night time so the Eiffel Tower was all lit up and gorgeous! The boat ride went down the Seine River and under all of the amazing bridges that were also all lit up and the looped back around and ended under the Eiffel Tower again. Just as the ride was coming to and end Tyler pulls out the ring (my gorgeous perfect ring that he picked out all by himself) and said so many adorable and cute things and says how much he loves me and wants to spend eternity with me! At that time it was exactly 10PM and every hour on the hour all the lights on the Eiffel Tower twinkle. It was one of the most amazing sights I had ever seen! Did he have perfect timing or what? I was so excited and of course I said YES! The rest of the trip went by way too fast and before I knew it had to go back to reality, high school. ugh. I graduated a month later on May 25. What a glorious day!! I was so done with high and could not have graduated soon enough! My summer was filled with wedding planning and working at St. Anthony Assisted Living Center as a CNA. I loved my job and all the cute entertaining residents there! Our original wedding date was January 28 2012 because that was as soon as it could happen because Tyler was getting deployed to Iraq, but somehow we lucked out because after his deployment got changed about 5 times and Tyler working his tail off to finish about 3 months of schooling in only a couple weeks he was approved for leave from September 1-15! We found out about this on the 24th of August which gave us about a 3 week notice to get everything ready for the wedding, but thanks to wonderful family and friends it all came together perfectly and we had our dream wedding on September 10th 2011 in the Rexburg Idaho Temple. (9-10-11 what a sweet date huh? Tyler better never forget our anniversary ha!) Our wedding day was more perfect than I ever could have imagined, the weather was so beautiful and everything went smoothly! We spent our wedding night in pocatello at the Black Swan Inn and then went to Utah to get my military ID! It was a crazy fast honeymoon but all we had time for and we are hoping to go on a cruise this summer! After only 4 days of marriage Tyler had to leave and go back to Germany to get ready to deploy to sicily Italy on September 30th. We got lucky once more and his 6 month deployment got cut short and he got sent back to Germany the end of November. This meant I got to move and be with him about 4 months earlier then planned! It caused some crazy fast packing and planning but I was so excited to live with my husband. I (and my adorable dog Teko of course!) left for Germany on December 18th 2011, it was hard saying goodbye to family and friends but I couldn't wait to start on this new adventure! We are now all moved into our house here in Wallhalben Germany and we love it! I can't wait for our boxes from the states to get here and start decorating our home! I love it here in Germany and we are getting all settled in perfectly! I have now been here for a month and a half which is the longest we have been able to spend together in almost 2 years! Wahooo! :) Tyler recently got accepted into the K-9 program which was a huge honor at his rank and he worked so hard for! I am incredibly proud of him and he is so excited to get to start training and working with dogs at his job! I am studying to get my drivers license out here and then will start schooling and hopefully start at job on base! So that is our story from beginning until now! I love my life and consider myself the luckiest girl! We are so blessed daily and we are thankful for this wonderful adventure we get to go through and can't wait to take advantage of it and travel and see the world while we are out here! Which we will post pictures of course! I'm new to this whole blogging thing but will hopefully keep it updated about whats going on in our life!
